After Surgery

 Dear Blogger;

Well, I survived. There for awhile I wasn't sure.... The operation was Tuesday July 16th and that was an ordeal in itself but the hospital was great and for the most part so were the people. There was only one young lady (I can say that since I'm 60) who could use some classes in bedside manners. She just barked orders like she was a drill sergeant in two sentence structures and she treated me like I was totally stupid. No, I didn't complain about her because I refuse to jeopardize someone's job. She probably needs it and I didn't know how to convey to anyone that she really could use some compassionate training in dealing with patients. Let's see, I think they call those soft skills?
I have greatly missed 'The White Wolf' (the name of my computer). Yes, I am a Geralt fan. Why do you ask? Netflix? No, no, no! Please go read the books, play the video games and ...... the Netflix show? Yes, I know Henry Cavel is a very good actor but he will never be Geralt for me.
So now that the surgery is done they will take my uterus and cut it in sections for testing purposes. I still feel like they are using me for guinea pig purposes though the surgeon tried to assure me that wasn't so. If they find anything more dire they will let me know. Sigh.
I'm finally home in spite of a bad reaction to the anesthesia and being tired, sore and finding certain movements to be very painful. Yes, I do think I'm alive. In my Grandfather's words, 'I have to be because I wouldn't hurt so much if I wasn't'.
My Grandparents view on pain is very different than mine. They viewed it not so much as a good thing but much better than the alternative. I view it as, 'Please! Make it stop!'
So while I was away from home the only thing I had to play games with was my laptop. It isn't designed to play games though it will play the sims quite well. That isn't surprising since The Sims can play on a wide variety of computers.
Ok, so it is much later and I tend to sleep a lot. Pain pills are friends!
I got a little depressed over my situation because it sounded so dire. That caused me to not really want to blog or do videos but just duck my head down & play video games for distraction.
They found three cysts, a couple of polyps and no malignant or cancerous cells so for now I'm doing alright.
Right now, I'm still mending and sleeping a great deal but I should be back up to... Well, I wouldn't say normal as I haven't been normal for a long time. No comments from the peanut gallery, please.
Have yourselves a great day and hopefully I'll figure out how to get myself motivated to do some sort of video even if it is never watched.
Thank you one and all for reading my boring repartee may God richly bless you and keep you.
