What Video!
My ex recently upgraded his rig. From a new motherboard (his fried due to a water cool failure) to a cpu, memory and graphics card. The graphics card wouldn't fit in his case so he bought a new one and, being the dear sweet man he is, is giving me his old case so that I can eventually upgrade my computer but he also had an old graphics card laying around.
Unfortunately, my power supply is no where near what his old graphics card needs to run. Sigh. I just purchased a 2tb drive I have yet to install to solve my lack of HD space so purchasing a power supply will have to wait. It may be the new year before I can make that purchase.
However, my ex came over during the holidays and moved my computer innards to a new house (computer case)! It now has a larger, white home though I will miss some of the design features of its old home I'm quite happy with the new one. Though for some reason, the components are the same, the sound is tinnie and I don't understand that. First, the thing that you need to understand is I'm what they call an audiophile. I love good sound. Gaming sound is not audiophile sound. My ex and I spent a great deal of money on what is considered an esoteric stereo. It really has great sound! So I would like to eventually have a great sound card to go into my rig. One thing at at time. The big things are the motherboard and the graphics card. The motherboard can't be bought without purchasing memory and a cpu and of course all the little things that need to be purchased to go with it. That in itself is a minimum of $1500 and that isn't the latest, greatest tech. The graphics card is another $600 to a $1,000 and again not the latest, greatest tech. Yes, I would like a minimum of a 7080 graphics card but my pocket book can't afford that. In fact it can't afford a minimized build so I drool over the tech and hope for a better day.
I know I said I was going to build but I didn't refuse his help and I'm glad he did it because he ran into issues I don't think I would have figured out how to solve. He is a retired diesel mechanic so figuring out how things go together or work around has been a great part of his life for many years.
Yes, I know. Why did we get divorced? It is the same question my son asked because we always got along very well. He is the same man I fell in love with and married so many years ago but the reasons for the divorce are more complicated and as I stated before I will not discuss.
Now onto a video should have been uploaded but... RL has thrown a curve ball and my video issues have cropped up again as well. I'm hoping to have my new ssd plugged in this weekend so if that has anything to do with it then it will be better. Of course, it may not solve the issue and I may have to look for the problem elsewhere. Sigh.
We will continue to forge ahead! Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings and have yourself a great day, a better week and a fantastic weekend.
